ISCPO summit highlights supply chain crime
Some of the world’s leading businesses and industry leaders gathered in London in October to discuss the growing challenge of supply chain crime as part of the annual ISCPO (International Supply Chain Protection Organization) Summit.
Retailers, representatives from law enforcement and freight providers came together at the offices of CCTV camera specialists Verkada to look at review the current state of supply chain vulnerability with and agenda of high-profile guest speakers including the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) and Opal, the UK’s serious organised and acquisitive crime unit which earlier this year launched it supply chain reporting desk.
Among the key topics discussed on October 15th were the evolving landscape of freight crime, supply chain resilience and cross-border intelligence sharing across Europe.
Byron Smith, president and chairman of ISCPO said: “The summit underscored the crucial reality in modern logistics; combatting freight crime requires an integrated intelligence-led response across industry lines and borders."
“Bringing together supply chain security leadership, law enforcement and global transport specialists demonstrates our collective resolve to collaborate and stay ahead of sophisticated supply cargo theft strategies.”
